BREAKING NEWS: Chaos in Kano as Angry Youths Bμrn Down Police Station After Man D!es in Custody

So I saw the news that the Rano police detained one Abdullahi Musa, a young man from the area, over a traffic offense. 

He was arrested on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and by the next morning, he was d3ad in their custody. 

The police claimed he developed health complications during interrogation and d!ed while receiving treatment at Rano General Hospital . 

The people of Rano were not having it. In response, they stormed the station, set it abl@ze, and reportedly, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) didn’t make it out alive.

Let me be clear....I don’t support vi0lence or the k¡lling of anyone, just like I don’t support someone being arrested over a minor issue and never returning home alive. 

But this is what happens when injvstice is repeated and nobody is held responsible.

The Nigerian police today are no longer protectors of the people... they’ve become predators in uniform. 

Bribery has taken over the system. If you can't offer them something, they'll manufacture a reason to punish you. 

Even when you're innocent, they'll treat you like a cr!minal because you refused to “settle” them. How did we get here?

And one thing about the Northern youths is that they're fearless. They don’t waste time forming Twitter threads and Instagram rants. 

They move. They act. They don’t just cry online; they defend their own. And the most shocking part? Their leaders won't even send security operatives after them. 

They don’t start pretending like they don’t know what caused the reaction. They don’t call their youths miscreants like our so-called Southern leaders who are always ready to side with government oppr3ssors just to stay relevant.

If the police cannot carry out their duties with fairness and respect for human dignity, then what exactly are they for? 

To collect bribes and b3at citizens to d3ath? 

If there's no justice for the oppr3ssed, there will always be resistance... and in the North, resistance is not just talk; it's action.

Police brutality must stop. We’re tired of hearing “he d!ed in custody” as if it's a normal thing. 

If there's no serious reform soon, the anger brewing in different parts of this country will explode in ways we may not be able to contain.
