25yrs old Solomon Monday Young widely known as skratch dr.sozy, a very talented DJ based in Oworonshoki, Lagos Nigeria is set to break the Guinness book of record for the longest marathon club DJ-ing.
The Young DJ who studied mathematics and is a graduate of Akwa Ibom state university started the record breaking attempt at exactly 7pm on Sunday the 25th of February 2024 after duely sending his application to Guinness Worlds Records and got a confirmation email from them three months after.
The present Guinness world record for the longest marathon club DJ-ing is held by Polish Dj Norbert Selmaj who played for 200 hours, between 19th to 27th (8days) of November 2014.
Solomon Monday Aka Dr Sozy is an attempting to play for 260 hours which 11days!
At the time of writing this he has played for 48hrs 17 minutes and 9 seconds which is a little over 2days.
The venue for his record breaking attempt is Modina Street Oworonshoki, Papa field. Anytime you get there you will find him there playing music non-stop.
